Terms of Service
Version 2026-10-18. These terms apply to your account on the Blankey relay at relay.blankey.io. The Blankey app itself is free software under the MIT License; these terms do not change that license.
1. Who we are
The relay is run by [COMPANY NAME], registered in [COUNTRY] under number [REGISTRATION NUMBER], with its address at [ADDRESS] (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@blankey.io.
2. Agreeing to these terms
You agree to these terms when you continue with your email on the sign-in page, or when you select Agree and continue after we change them. If you do not agree, do not use the relay. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher.
If you use the relay for a company or other organisation, you confirm that you may bind it to these terms.
3. What the relay does
The relay lets AI assistants and other web-based agents reach the Blankey app on your computer, and lets other people send you documents through collection links. It forwards requests between your agents and your app and does not keep their content. Collection link uploads are encrypted in the sender’s browser to your device’s key, so we cannot read them. The Privacy Policy describes what we store and for how long.
The relay only works while your app is running and connected. We aim to keep it available but do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may change or stop features with reasonable notice.
4. Your account
Keep your email account and passkeys secure; whoever controls them controls your relay account. You are responsible for the agents and devices you connect, and for what they do through the relay. Tell us at support@blankey.io if you think someone else has access to your account.
5. Beta
The relay is in beta. During the beta it is free, features may change, and it may be interrupted or reset more often than a finished service.
When the beta ends we will introduce paid subscriptions. We will email you at least 30 days before any charge can apply. Nothing becomes payable unless you then choose a subscription; if you do not, your account stays free until it is limited or closed with notice.
6. Subscriptions, fair use and overage
This section applies once paid subscriptions start.
Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly in advance at the price shown at checkout, including VAT where it applies, through Stripe. They renew automatically until you cancel, which you can do at any time from your account; the subscription then ends at the end of the period you have paid for.
Each subscription includes a monthly allowance:
| Included per month | Overage price | |
|---|---|---|
| Agent requests through the relay | [ALLOWANCE] | [PRICE] |
| Connected devices | [ALLOWANCE] | [PRICE] |
| Collection link uploads | [ALLOWANCE] | [PRICE] |
| Data transferred through the relay | [ALLOWANCE] | [PRICE] |
If your use goes beyond the allowance:
- We email you when you reach 80% of any part of the allowance, and again when overage starts.
- Overage is billed at the prices above with your next invoice, up to your monthly overage cap. The cap is [DEFAULT CAP] unless you change it. You can set it to zero, which means no overage is ever charged.
- When the cap is reached, the relay slows down or refuses further requests above the allowance until the next month starts or you raise the cap. We never charge more than the cap.
- We only charge overage for usage that your account page shows you.
We may change the allowance or the prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email. A change applies from your next billing period after that notice, and you can cancel before it applies.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use the relay to:
- break the law or infringe anyone’s rights, including sending collection links to people to obtain their data without a lawful reason;
- send spam or phishing, or pretend to be someone else;
- attack, probe or overload the relay or other systems, or get around its limits, bot checks or security;
- resell or share access to the relay as a service for others without our written agreement.
Automated use by the agents you connect is expected. Traffic that looks like abuse, such as request floods or loops, may be slowed down or blocked straight away to protect the service, also during the beta.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts the service or other users at risk, or has unpaid invoices. Where we reasonably can, we warn you first and give you time to fix the problem. If we close your account without a breach on your part, we refund the unused part of any prepaid period.
You can stop using the relay at any time. To delete your account and its data, email support@blankey.io from the account’s address.
9. Right of withdrawal (consumers in the EU)
If you are a consumer in the EU, you may withdraw from a new subscription within 14 days without giving a reason by emailing support@blankey.io. If you asked for the service to start during those 14 days, which happens as soon as you use it, you pay for the part of the period already provided, and we refund the rest.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent, gross negligence, or injury to life, body or health.
Otherwise, the relay is provided as it is. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses caused by your agents, your devices or third-party services you connect. Our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the amount you paid us in that time, or €50 if that is more.
If you are a consumer, you keep all rights that the law where you live gives you and that cannot be waived.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For changes that affect you, we email you at least 30 days in advance, and the relay asks you to agree to the new version before you continue to use your account. If you do not agree, you can cancel; the old terms apply until the end of your paid period.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of [COUNTRY]. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts. Otherwise, the courts of [CITY, COUNTRY] have jurisdiction.
If any part of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies.
